For all the things which have gone wrong in my life they have really done nothing but made me and my family stronger. So when we got the news a couple of weeks ago that I will go blind – maybe in a few days, maybe not for a few years, I wanted to yell and curse etc etc Then my son made a typical sarcastic Sanzone comment that made me realize that even blind, nothing would change. He said “Don’t worry, when you go blind I’ll trip you. Just to keep you on your toes… and to give myself a chuckle” and he smiled and kissed me on the forehead. I realized that there are people who have never seen their children’s face, not their smile or their tears. People who have never seen colors or a sunset and people who are alone in their darkness. I may not have seen everything I have wanted to, but I have seen love, compassion, beauty and even a miracle or two. We have a man in our lives that chose to be a part of our ready-made family, a roof over our heads and we are not alone. That’s why I am thankful 😉
Terrell, I am so both so very sad to hear your news and in awe of your amazing attitude so soon after receiving this news! You’re such a strong & talented woman with a unique style! Sending you hugs, support and wishes for as positive an outcome as possible in your situation. I’m thankful you’re indeed blessed with such a wonderful family! xxx
I´m blessed with my big family and lovely friends. I love my two little girls and my husband, my little sister and my mum. (My Dad died 10 years ago and I was blessed with him so much!). I´ve got my grandma and my granddad, uncles, aunts, cousins…..Some of them are very sick and I hope they stay with us a little bit more (or maybe long). You can count on everyone. That´s why I´m blessed.
Aw! What a wonderful supportive family you have!
I’m blessed with a sweet, loving son and husband and 2 angel daughters.
Thanks for the chance to win.
I’ve thought about this alot recently. My husband graduated from law school in May, and hasn’t been able to find a job yet. Despite that, we have a roof over our heads, thanks to the hospitality and generosity of my parents. We don’t have to worry about whether or not we can buy food to feed our children. And my husband was even lucky enough to find a part time job to pay our bills in the meantime. It’s a tough time for us (and for many) but even so, I have so many reasons to be thankful.
I’m so glad your parents are able to help! It’s been a tough couple of years, too, and I’m so fortunate to have family to help as well. And congrats to your husband! Well done finishing law school! Hope he’s able to find something full time soon. 🙂
I am blessed to live in freedom, to have the love and support of so many friends and mostly to be a child of God. Thank you for the chance to win.
I’m blessed that after 2 years of struggling through life, I can look back and say that it wasn’t that bad. My husband lost his job twice, but we were always able to pay our bills thanks to the help of family and those that love us. We were apart from each other for 4 months, but it made us realize how important we are to one another. We moved hundreds of miles away from family and friends, but we made new friends that have become our family. Then a month ago we moved again. We’ve been essentially homeless for a month and a half, but we get to move into a house of our own this week. Life is finally coming together for us.
Hang in there, Kristi! I went through a similar situation as a teen so I understand how tough it is. I’m so glad you’re able to move into a house soon!! That’s a weight off I’m sure. The best of luck settling into the new place!
I am so blessed with a husband, three precious children and their wonderful spouses, and three beautiful grand children. I have a home, plenty of food, and most of all I have my Jesus.
I am truly blessed with a loving family and friends. My children and husband are what I get up for every morning. I’m also blessed with enough adversity to help me continue to rely upon my Savior.
I’m blessed with a beautiful family and for a cancer free dog. Thanks for the chance.
So glad your dog is healthy! My kitty is like my child so I’m sure that’s a relief!
I’ve so enjoyed reading ALL your replies!!! Thanks for sharing a little bit of your lives with me. I’m very blessed with my family & friends as well. We’ve gone through our share of tough times – especially the last couple of years since I lost my job and started my own business – but at least we can lean on each other.
There’s still a little time left to enter this contest… see the post above for the deadline. I’ll announce the winner & send out the prize on Monday!
I am blessed with a wonderful husband of 22 years and 5 beautiful children. Above all I am blessed with a savior who loves me.
