And the only cure is to create.
My heart seriously skipped when I caught a glimpse of the new digiWERX Shabby Chic Collection. I’ve been itching to create some new wall art for my nearly-bare apartment walls and these papers are just what I’ve been waiting for. Don’t ya just love that?
So far I’ve finished four layouts and I’m thinking I’ll do two more before I send them off for printing. Then I may have to pull out the paint and find some funky frames to put them in.
~all about attitude~
My sis Kathy. Hmmm, wonder where she got that sarcastic wit. Ha!
PP: Floral Fire Engine Red
Full credits here.
Digi Tip: Try using masks to highlight design elements and add layers to your LO. Start by duplicating the background pp and masking elements like scrollwork or flowers on the new layer. Then add new elements in between your layers of pp.
~from the day~
My other sis Sara…a girl with gravity.
PP: Grape Fusion
Full credits here.
Digi Tip: Experiment with blending modes when adding elements to allow your background pp to show through and recolor all in one step.
~grows and grows~
Both girls at Biltmore Greenhouse the week before Christmas.
PP: Pretty In Pink / Label: Vintage Ledger Journaling Spots
Full credits here.
Digi Tip: Combine blending mode and masking techniques. Here I duplicated the label then used both masking and blending techniques to recolor it for a perfect match.
~skate~
And both girls ice skating at Wonderland of Lights.
PP: Coffee Stained
Full credits here.
Digi Tip: Use the Select Menu --> Color Range tool to make complex selections around things like glitter.
I’ll let you know when I get them framed & hung!
Everything looks awesome!!! 🙂
